Remission of fees (free tuition) for the child(ren) of a disabled veteran

The natural or legally adopted children of a disabled veteran may be eligible for remission of fees (free tuition) at any state-supported postsecondary school or university in Indiana.  


Remission of Fees for Indiana Purple Heart Veterans (PDF File)

The Indiana General Assembly established defined educational benefits for the recipients of the Military Order of the Purple Heart. The applicant must be a person who, after September 10, 2001, enters active duty service from a permanent home address in Indiana, receives an honorable discharge, and receives the Purple Heart decoration for that active duty service.
